There are a number of Tom Clancy games available right now during a Humble Bundle sale. While the sale itself is significant, the real kicker is that paying enough money for the bundle will open up access to the Rainbow Six: Siege multiplayer beta.
So if you buy the basic Tom Clancy bundle pack by paying anything you want, you'll get Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 Gold, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, along with access to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege multiplayer beta.
It's a little strange because I would have expected the multiplayer beta to be locked behind a rather pricey bundle threshold but that isn't the case at all. What is locked behind a minimum payment threshold is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Splinter Cell Conviction and the original Splinter Cell. Strange games to have behind a minimum payment threshold as opposed to Rainbow Six: Siege's multiplayer beta. If you pay $8.37 or more you'll gain access to the aforementioned games.
Further down the list, if you pay $10 or more you will unlock Splinter Cell Blacklist and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. That's a huge steal for both games together. And, what's more, you'll automatically get the other games in the other bundles.
If you pay $75 or more you can unlock a 66% off discount on any three of Ubisoft's titles in the Humble Store with a special coupon. The coupon, however, is not good for pre-ordering games. The $75 bundle also includes a Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege t-shirt and an automatic shoe-in for a pre-order of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege.
To be completely honest, the $75 bundle is an absolute steal. You get a ton of games, a t-shirt and a coupon for a discount on other Ubisoft games. There's literally no downside. What's more is that the $75 bundle is only $15 more than if you buy Rainbow Six: Siege by itself, which will regularly cost $60 at launch.
A bunch of awesome Tom Clancy titles for that price is a great steal for anyone who either loves the Tom Clancy series of games or if you've never played any of these games before and you want to get the games and play them for the very first time.
Rainbow Six: Siege is the latest game in the long running series and Ubisoft has been testing this game all throughout the year. The game had a very powerful showing at E3 in the past years but some of the hype waned when it turned out that the game's destructibility isn't quite as extensive as gamers were hoping for. Simply put, if you're expecting Crackdown 3 levels of destruction you'll have to look elsewhere.
Even still, the competitive multiplayer for Rainbow Six: Siege has been the prime focus of Ubisoft's efforts, so we'll see if it pays off when the game launches this fall for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
You can purchase the Ubisoft Humble Bundle right now from over on the Humble Bundle store.
