Yesterday YingPei Games' informed gamers about the cooperative modes in their upcoming third-person shooter, Mercenary Ops. The game is basically a dead-ringer for Gears of War except it features character customization and is designed for eight or more players. Well, additional screenshots were let loose for the upcoming MMOTPS, and they showoff the game's survival, co-op and PvP modes.

The game is similar to a lot of other Korean third-person shooters that North Americans will probably never see, such as GameHi's Project E or Hussein. The big difference is that Mercenary Ops at least actually has a release window and the consistent release of media made available to the public at large gives credence to the game's affability for a legitimate release.

Like most other Unreal Engine 3 powered games, Mercenary Ops looks gorgeous. I'm most interested in how the game's physics properties will work out and what sort of role that's going to play in the PvP.

We haven't seen a whole lot of gameplay footage of Mercenary Ops yet but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how it all plays out in real-time. You can check out the new screenshots below or learn more about the co-op and competitive features right here. For additional information on the game be sure to pay a visit to the Official Mercenary Ops Website.
