If this article was about Battlefield 3, Call of Duty or Assassin's Creed, we would have had to truncate the word “Free” from the headline and then hold off as long as possible within the first paragraph to toss a price up (usually $14.99). In this case, there is no ridiculous price tag and there are no hidden gimmicks; Unknown World is giving gamers a massive update for free.
Natural Selection 2 is a hybrid first-person shooter and real-time strategy game. Teamwork is key and combat is both fast-paced, frightening, exhilarating and intense. To give gamers an idea of how the game works as well as how the graphics overhaul affects the visual aesthetics, check out the new update trailer below.
New guns, new map, new mechanics and better reflection and lighting details all for the price of $0.00? Are they serious?
It's hilarious how the top comment on the YouTube page mentions how sad it is that developers now have to advertise that great content like this is being handed out free. Why is it sad? Because usually you have to pay for every single little nook, cranny and patch released for all the major AAA titles. Two new guns? $5. One new map? $3.99. New vehicle? $1.99. New skin pack? $4.99. Gamers suckered into paying for all this stuff from top-tier publishers when it's usually free from indie devs? Priceless.
If you want your money to work for you and you want to get the best bang for your buck, I don't think I could recommend Natural Selection 2 enough. The game gets it done and it's currently 50% off as of the writing of this article.
