Free-to-play action MMO Rusty Hearts today received a healthy dose of new content and upgrades via the “Reborn” update, offering shiny new dungeons to explore, weapons to utilize, a new hub world to call home and several tweaks to the user interface.
This is actually bitter-sweet news for yours truly. I really enjoy Rusty Hearts, and something like this Reborn update is exactly what was needed to draw me back into the game. The problem is that I'm going to have to call in sick to work for the next couple of weeks.
Unlike many MMOs that require lots of mouse clicking to make your character do anything, Rusty Hearts focuses on combos, skills and quick reflexes to get by. The developers at Perfect Worlds even encourage the use of a controller, as the core gameplay is more akin to something you'd see in an action game for consoles.
First up in the Reborn update are new weapon focuses for all of the main characters. Check out this trailer for a better idea of how said new weapons will change up the gameplay.
Along with the new weapons, players will have access to a refreshed character manager and select screen, as well as a more fleshed out skill manager.
A new forest village hub-world will be available for Meilin, Roselle, Leila and Edgar, granting access to all new dungeons and monsters to lay waste to.
