The DS puzzle series Scribblenauts quietly arrived on a new platform today. Scribblenauts Remix is an enhanced version of the game specifically designed for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

Scribblenauts is a game which lets you use your imagination to solve puzzles. You summon objects, people, or animals by writing their name, and then manipulate them to complete your objective. For example, let's say you need to rescue a cat from a roof. You could create a ladder for your character so he can retrieve the animal...or you could summon a zombie and scare the cat off the roof.

Scribblenauts Remix, ported by Iron Galaxy, features forty levels from Scribblenauts as well as its sequel Super Scribblenauts. It also adds ten new levels for the iOS. The game utilizes the mechanics of Super Scribblenauts, which allowed players to use adjectives as well. Do you want to summon a "giant hungry rainbow beaver"? Now you can.

Remix also supports a few unique features of iOS. Save files utilize cloud storage so you can play the game on different devices without losing progress. You input words via the touch keyboard and can shake the device to undo a mistake.

Gaming Blend reviewed the original DS version of Scribblenauts way back in 2009. Read our thoughts on the game here.
