The Sims franchise seems to always be scrambling around for new content to keep their heavily-addicted Sim-players happy. The Sims has just announced a new game pack called The Sims 4 Dine Out and it will give players a chance to dip their toes into the food business.

In The Sims 4 Dine Out, players will get the chance to finally find out what it feels like to run a full-service restaurant. Of course, you’ll also be able to attend a restaurant for a meal and drinks. You can check out the trailer for the game pack below.

As seen in the trailer, there’s a number of different restaurants you can either eat at or run, from hip lounges with chill atmospheres to noisy family restaurants. This will also help with the dating feature in The Sims 4. Usually when a Sim and another Sim go on a date, it’s more casual like going into town together to sit in a park or getting some food at a small cafe, or even out dancing. But The Sims 4 Dine Out finally gives everyone that intimate dinner setting for romantic dates—how has this not happened yet?

The restaurant settings will feel very much like the dance club settings where everyone is kind of doing their own thing and having their own conversations, although I’m not sure how keen a couple will feel if you were to walk up to their table, interrupting their dinner, to start speaking with them.

You also might notice a reference from the movie Office Space. Jennifer Aniston’s character worked at a restaurant called Shenanigan’s and her manager was obsessed with using a pin reward system calling it “pieces of flair”, meaning for every thing you accomplish you get a different pin. You might notice in the trailer one of the restaurant’s waiters and waitresses wearing a vest covered in pins.

Honestly, I can’t believe it took The Sims this long to come out with a game that included an opportunity for Sims to actually eat in a restaurant. Usually when Sims try to interact with things like this in the original game, they disappear into a building and you’re left to wait around until they’re done. Although, I am really glad they did, because now Sim dates can feel so much more intimate than they have in the past; it will be an actual date!
