Activision unleashed the latest trailer for the “Der Eisendrache” map that's part of the Awakening DLC pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. The trailer gives gamers a look at the wintery map caked in snow and looking rather frosty.

Over on the official Call of Duty YouTube channel they posted up the trailer for the “Der Eisendrache” map that you can check out below.

The trailer is narrated by the fictional Corporal “Tank” Dempsey, who seems to be paying an homage to BJ Blazcowicz from Wolfenstein. The map features the standard swarm of zombie Nazis with a collection of new and returning weapons, some of which look like they come out of a sci-fi B-movie.

The roaring dragon's head that breathes fire is just another surreal element of the crazy zombie map for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. This is the sequel map to “The Giant”, which saw the original crew from the first Black Ops' zombie map make a return to finish what they started in an attempt to save the universe from being torn apart by the crazy Nazis experiments.

The four-player cooperative map will see players exploring the castle on the mountain as they attempt to discover the true motivations of those behind the zombie outbreak while trying to put an end to it once and for all. The map is part of the Awakening DLC pack that includes four other multiplayer deathmatch locations, including the recently teased Skyjacked map that takes place on a flying yacht of sorts, and a fw other locations such as Rise, Splash and Gauntlet.

Activision finally revealed when the Awakening DLC would be made available, jotting it down to a February 2 date. It will launch first for PlayStation 4 owners and at a later date for Xbox One and PC users.

Previously, the publishing giant had revealed that Xbox 360 and PS3 users would not be getting their hands on a season pass since the content was too big for the seventh generation home consoles. So all of the new maps and content will be bypassing the old-gen systems. It's a calculated risk but one that Activision and Treyarch likely figured would be worth it in the long run.

The news about the zombie map also comes at an opportune time while Activision is promoting the Call of Duty eSports event in Europe. The first stage of the pro division live-stream is taking place at the moment as they head toward the finals.

Following the Awakening DLC expansion for Black Ops 3 there will be three additional expansion packs that will be made available throughout 2016 and into early 2017. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is available right now for home consoles and PC.
