Subscribe To Unreal Engine 3 Games Planned For Sony's NGP Launch Updates
Talk about pulling out all the stops for next-gen portable gaming. Sony seems to be in it to win it as it was announced that Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3 will be supported by the Sony NGP, joining the ranks of NaturalMotion’s Morpheme animation suite. Heck, it sounds like a lot of games coming out for the NGP will have some of the same quality gameplay and presentation values as the Xbox 360 or PS3.

Mark Rein, vice president of Epic Games commented in the press release, saying...
"NGP raises the bar for the performance of handheld platforms with its multi-core GPU and shader-based, multi-core CPU. This makes Unreal Engine 3 a particularly advantageous fit for NGP. Furthermore, multiple UE3 licensees are already working with NGP, some of which have indicated they intend to release their games for the platform's launch."

Now that’s some real big news right there. Not only will the next generation portable feature everything you could ask for out of a mobile gaming device, but right at launch it’s going to have triple-A quality Unreal Engine 3 games to play. Seriously, that is next generation.
