One of the big cage-rattlers of the week involved a writer getting fired, a group of games and tech journalists on a secret mailing list helping him get fired and then some of those same people allegedly blacklisting that writer. Things spiraled out of control after the group known as the “Game Journo Pros” became public knowledge and had a lot of people questioning the politics behind games journalism.

On the softer side of the news, we had things like the Evolve alpha going live over the weekend, some leaked footage of the highly anticipated zombie mode from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and a list of horror moments from games that aren't necessarily horror titles.
