Indie puzzle game World of Goo is on its way to another platform. Developer 2D Boy revealed today that they're preparing an Android version and it's not too far away.

"World of Goo for Android devices is coming soon. We’re just working out the final kinks in the machinery. More info on GooDroid soon," reads a news post on the 2D Boy website. They later clarified that the game would be available on both phones and tablets.

The goal in Goo is to get a certain amount of goo balls to the exit. However, there are a number of obstacles in your way. In order to bypass them, you use the goo bals to create structures like swings or bridges. There are different types of goo balls with distinct properties and learning how to leverage these properties is the key to mastering the game.

Goo was first released on the PC and WiiWare back in October 2008. Since then, it's been ported to Mac, Linux, and iOS. Once it became available for the iPad and iPhone, you had to figure an Android release wasn't far behind.
