If one had to pick a single aspect of the DC Extended Universe that has received near-universal praise since its introduction, he or she could make a pretty easy argument for Gal Gadot and her performance as Wonder Woman. The Israeli movie star managed to steal most (if not all) of her scenes in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and her solo movie became a box office juggernaut (not to mention a critical smash) when it premiered this summer. With so much success, it only makes sense that people would want to cosplay as Diana, and one of the latest examples is a dead-ringer for Ms. Gadot. Check it out below.
Pretty crazy, right? Coming to us courtesy of the Twitter account of Alyson Tabbitha (who frequently posts incredible cosplay), we get to see someone figuratively, but almost literally, turn herself into Gal Gadot's version of Diana Prince. It is not just a matter of putting on a costume -- which admittedly looks awesome -- she also applies the hairstyle, makeup, and even adjusts her body language to mirror the look of the Wonder Woman that we have all come to know and love over the course of the last year and a half. From top to bottom, she has pretty much captured everything that we dig about this hero aesthetially, and trust us, we know our cosplay here at CinemaBlend.
Need a closer look at how well this fan's version of the character stacks up when compared to the real thing? Then take a look at a side-by-side of her and a shot of Gal Gadot from the poster for Justice League below.
As Gal Gadot continues to establish herself as Diana Prince in the DCEU, something tells us that awesome cosplays like this will only become more and more common at fan conventions all over the world. The success of Patty Jenkins' first solo movie for the character swiftly led to a sequel receiving the go-ahead from Warner Bros. (allowing Jenkins to make historic money in the process), and the film is expected to debut in theaters on December 13, 2019. Between her solo sequel and all of the other films in which she's expected to appear (such as The Flash: Flashpoint and the eventual Justice League sequel), we have only just begun to scratch the surface of this character's popularity and potential on the big screen.
Wonder Woman will make her next appearance in the silver screen DC universe when Justice League premieres in theaters next month on November 17th.
