Blake Shelton Responds To Drama About Alleged Miranda Lambert Tweet

Blake Shelton The Voice

By his own admission, Blake Shelton reaped the benefits of karma this past week. A few days ago, The Voice coach threw what appeared to be some major shade at his ex-wife, Miranda Lambert, when it was revealed that she had started dating Evan Felker and potentially broke up his marriage to Staci Nelson, who filed for divorce from Felker in February. While Shelton remained coy about his response to Lambert's latest relationship drama, he revealed a few more details about what he was implying in the controversial response. In a recent interview, this is what the country singer said about his biting tweet.

If it was meant for people to know exactly what it meant, it wouldn't have been so cryptic. But I can tell you it's been, actually, very entertaining to watch the world run with it and assume what they think it's about.

Clearly, Blake Shelton is having a good bit of fun with the situation (or, at least, a situation) in this Entertainment Tonight interview, where he was on the red carpet to promote and discuss NBC's hit music competition series, The Voice. Joined by Kelly Clarkson, the newest coach and the woman who is coming full circle after starting her career by winning the first season of American Idol, Shelton talked about the recent controversy. But he left the door open to interpretation, as he didn't outright admit it's related to Miranda Lambert's current relationship status. In fact, Blake Shelton suggests that's not it at all.

I don't love it, but it's funny... I'll say that people are way off the mark. But I don't have time to [discuss it].

The jury is still out, it seems. In any case, Blake Shelton has no reason to stay bitter, especially if that tweet is related to Miranda Lambert. Since the musicians broke up their marriage, Shelton has formed a relationship with Gwen Stefani. The couple has stayed together in 2015, and they seem to be as loving as can be. They were both coming from recent, or previously ongoing, divorces, with Stefani ending her marriage to Gavin Rossdale, and they've stayed committed and loving to one another in the years to follow. Most recently, Gwen Stefani talked about her relationship with Blake Shelton on Jimmy Kimmel Live! On the late night talk show, the singer discussed her partner's strange relationship history, and while she didn't talk about Lambert, she did talk about the time Shelton dated a Stefani superfan.

Additionally, Blake Shelton was recently named People's Sexiest Man Alive at the end of last year, which certainly garnered quite a response online. In any case, Blake Shelton is happy, if for reasons currently left unclear to the general public. For now.
