Gwyneth Paltrow Posted A Photo With Daughter Apple, And Apple Wasn't Happy About It

Gwyneth Paltrow - Iron Man 2

Though one shouldn't assume, it seems like Gwyneth Paltrow likes to keep herself in the media. The Oscar-winning actress and the face of Goop is found in the news more often than not — even under some less-than-flattering circumstances — and the celebrity keeps an active profile on social media. But when Paltrow posted a picture of herself skiing with her daughter, Apple Martin, her eldest child did not take kindly to it. To say the least. Apple commented on the photo, bluntly saying:

Mom we have discussed this. You may not post anything without my consent.

Yikes. Talk about awkward. The uncomfortable mother-daughter interaction was found on Gwyneth Paltrow's Instagram account, and it seemed like an innocent-enough photo before Apple Martin intervened and expressed her annoyance at her mother for posting this photo "without her consent." Turns out, in true teenager fashion, Apple doesn't necessarily want to be seen with her mom. And she believes Paltrow posting this photo without consulting her was a violation of her privacy.

Considering that the social media photo is still up — at least, at the time of this reporting — one should wonder whether Gwyneth Paltrow is really taking her daughter's words in account. It doesn't necessarily sound like it. If she felt that Apple Martin's concerns were serious and decided to take down the photo, that would suggest that Apple's comments got to her. Based on the photo post still standing, however, it doesn't sound like that's the case. Of course, it's hard to know what exactly is happening between this parent and child beyond what we see in this online post.

But if Apple Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow have "discussed this" before in the past, that means this is a reoccurring issue between the celebrity parent and her child. And if she decided to write something on the post opposed to talking to her mom in private, that might mean that Apple thought drastic measures were necessary.

Mothers and daughters fighting is certainly nothing new. It has happened since the dawn of human evolution and it will continues throughout the future, one has to presume. Ultimately, Apple Martin didn't want the photo posted online, and Gwyneth Paltrow didn't see the harm in posting it. Now, it sounds like they are having a bit of a tiff, though one cannot know if it has been resolved by now or not.

But one thing is for sure: Apple Martin got her point across. She did not want to be seen in her mom's social media posts. And if Gwyneth Paltrow didn't listen to her in private, maybe commenting on the post for the whole world to see will make a difference. We'll have to wait and see if Paltrow posts any more photos of her daughter in the future. For now, however, Apple made the situation very awkward.
