Lately, Gwyneth Paltrow's life has been filled with growth and unexpected chapters. In 2025, she returned to acting via Marty Supreme (which is now streamable with an HBO Max subscription), and she's still expanding her Goop lifestyle brand. On top of that, the Oscar winner just created her own TikTok account that already has over 5k followers, as of this writing. Honestly, I didn’t expect the Hollywood A-lister’s debut on the platform to feature Europe, a helicopter and a bathtub.
With TikTok continuing to be such a popular social media platform, more celebrities seem to be jumping on the bandwagon. Upon Gwyneth Paltrow's arrival on the platform, she shared a her first video that showed her constantly attempting to make a video while being interrupted. As part of that, different shots show the mother of two in different parts of Europe, in a helicopter, and in a bathtub among other places Voici Magazine reshared Paltrow’s inaugural video, which can be seen below:
Paltrow's post is quite cheeky, given how it inter-splices clips of her trying to make a video.... in a video. As unexpected as the video may be, I love seeing the Goop founder surrounded by the European mountains, taking in a beach and more while on vacation. If anything, I'm living vicariously through this post.
I'm also feeling FOMO over the lucky duck getting to fly in a helicopter! Seriously, talk about adventurous. It looks like the Sliding Doors actress knows how to make each getaway an unforgettable experience. Of course, as that shot of her taking a bath shows, she also knows when to unwind a bit. All in all, this video should set the tone for Paltrow's further TikTok posts, and I'm excited to see what she shares next.
To note, though, the Shakespeare in Love actress has been featured in TikToks before. For example, Paltrow was present in The Art of Being Well podcast episode when she went viral for her intense diet. There was also the time she posted on her company’s TikTok about Goop’s new “vagina egg” products. So, considering how frequently she's already appeared on the platform at this point, it makes complete sense that she would finally just join it herself.
Moving forward I’m hoping we get to see more of Paltrow’s travels, which she's shared on Instagram on a number of occasions over the years. When it comes to those IG posts, Paltrow has shed light on activities like sunbathing topless in Italy or chilling in The Hamptons with Cameron Diaz and Reese Witherspoon. Should Paltrow keep up this trend on TikTok, she may or may not have me wanting to make some travel plans of my own.
Of course, I'm also expecting Paltrow to keep us guessing in regard to what she'll post. She seems to be a spontaneous kind of star, and this first post seems to speak to that idea. On that note, welcome to TikTok, Gwyneth Paltrow, and I hope you enjoy it!
