The Cast Of Disney's Halloweentown Reunited, And Honored Debbie Fisher

As we get deeper into the month of October, we also approach Halloween. And for avid TV and movie fans, this means Halloween classics like horror movies and classic family friends like Hocus Pocus. Disney Channel original movie Halloweentown is a 90s classic that millennials will still tune into around this time, and it stars none other than the legendary Debbie Reynolds. This October will be the first since Reynolds' sudden death last December, and the cast of the 1998 DCOM recently reunited in Halloweentown-- were her presence was no doubt felt by all.

The Cromwells are back together, ya'll! This adorable photo was posted by franchise lead Kimberly J. Brown, and features her on screen mother (Judith Hoag) and siblings (Joey Zimmerman and Emily Roeske), who were featured in Halloweentown and its eventual sequels.

This Halloweentown reunion occurred at the Spirit Of Halloweentown event in Oregon this past weekend. It's this same location where the film was also shot, complete with the giant Jack-O-Lantern in the center of town. Next year will mark the TV movie's 20th anniversary, so the cast and the Festival's guests were no doubt feeling some nostalgia about the classic kid's film.

Of course, the main person missing was the late Debbie Reynolds. Reynolds played family matriarch Aggie Cromwell in the franchise, and was downright magical in the role. She brought her signature high energy and warmth to her performance, and will forever have a place in the hearts of 90's kids.

Joey Zimmerman shared another image from the event, where he reflected on Debbie Reynolds' life and performance in the beloved movies.

Now that is sweet. With the Halloweentown Town Hall behind him, Zimmerman made sure to give the late Debbie Fisher the honor she deserves. The setting in the background was were the climactic battles against Calabar took place, with the Cromwell family taking hands in solidarity to vanquish the evil. It's all enough to bring you back to the 90's.

This Halloween won't be the last time that Debbie Reynolds' passing will be felt by her generations of fans. This December will mark the one year anniversary of she and Carrie Fisher's deaths. And with Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi arriving in theaters at the end of the month, Fisher's final performance as Leia Organa will no doubt give the film's release an emotional undertone.

Halloweentown is currently available for rent over on Amazon Video, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi will arrive in theaters December 15th, 2017.
