First Look At The Arrow-verse Crossover Reveals The Bat-Signal And Premiere Date

The Arrow-verse is still months away from airing its big multi-show crossover event, but the shows are already finding ways to get fans of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and even Legends of Tomorrow (despite Legends' absence from the crossover) excited about what's to come. Batwoman will make her official Arrow-verse debut in the big crossover, and a first look image promoting the extravaganza shows off the Bat-Signal as well as The Flash, Green Arrow, and Supergirl. Get yourself pumped up and check it out!

Batwoman, who will be played by Ruby Rose for the crossover and possibly her own series, sadly does not appear in this first image. . Nevertheless, she has a significant presence in this tease for the crossover by virtue of the Bat-Signal shining in the sky behind the three heroes. Does this mean our theory about how Batwoman should debut in the Arrow-verse is still looking good?

Given that there are no plans at this point to bring Batman into the Arrow-verse despite the existence of Bruce Wayne (and probably a Batman on Earth-38), this Bat-Signal is likely intended for a very different Caped Crusader. Who needs Batman swooping around Gotham City when you can have Batwoman to do the job?

In addition to the Bat-Signal, this image reveals when exactly the crossover will hit the airwaves on The CW. In an unusual time slot change, The Flash will kick things off on Sunday, December 9. Arrow will keep things going on December 10, and Supergirl will finish things up on December 11. The switch in time slots for The Flash and Supergirl will take place for this one week only.

We can't say at this point if Legends of Tomorrow will air a solo episode in its regular Monday time slot, which would place it behind the Arrow leg of the crossover, assuming Arrow keeps its 8 p.m. slot on that Monday. It's possible that The CW will simply skip an episode of Legends that week and perhaps incorporate some of those heroes into the action without dedicating a whole fourth hour to the crossover. We'll likely have to wait and see at this point. My money is on Legends simply not getting an episode that week, but the Arrow-verse has surprised me before.

The image also gives another look at Barry's new suit as The Flash, and it indicates that Oliver will be out of prison by the beginning of December. It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for Oliver to break out just to don the hood and help save the day, but I'm hoping he's legally out of the clink by that point. Breaking out would just get him in more trouble when he inevitably would go back to jail, and it's not like the Green Arrow is a secret identity anymore.

If Supergirl's time on Earth-38 is going as badly as it seems thanks to the trailer, she may welcome a trip to Earth-1 to fight some bad guys, assuming the crossover is primarily set on Earth-1.
