Supernatural fans are in the midst of what is likely a bittersweet weekend. On Friday, three of the show’s stars -- Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins -- appeared in a video. In it, they revealed that Supernatural would be ending with Season 15.

The beloved horror series crossed the impressive threshold of its 300th episode in Season 14. In the announcement video, emotions were evident, as the central cast revealed the show’s fate. It has been a hallmark of The CW for well over a decade. Now, it is coming to an end. If you have not watched the video announcement with Jensen Ackles’ caption, here you go:

There are two parts to Jensen Ackles’ video. In the caption from the first, he hints that nothing on Supernatural ever ends, adding a winking emoji. Ackles is probably referencing the show’s penchant for keeping things alive, which is pretty notable.

When Supernatural began, it was mostly Sam and Dean. Not anymore. The duo became a trio thanks to the introduction of Castiel in Season 4. The fan-favorite actor appeared in the announcement video with his co-stars. Misha Collins, who plays Cass on Supernatural, shared the video with these thoughts:

It’s been a hell of a run, and we couldn’t be more grateful for all of it. No matter what, we’ll always all be #SPNFamily.

That the show’s family will continue after Supernatural ends has been a recurring theme throughout the cast’s messages to fans. The show premiered almost 14 years ago in September 2005. It has built up a devoted fan following during that time.

Like his co-stars, Jim Beaver -- who plays Bobby Singer on the show -- had a message that was short and sweet for fans. Check it out below:

Supernatural fans will always have one another, and there is a whole other season left to enjoy, so that is something. Joining her co-stars in reacting to the news was actress Samantha Smith. Smith plays Sam and Dean’s mom, Mary Winchester, on Supernatural. Check out her message below:

Speaking of positive tweets, This Is UsSterling K. Brown shared his reaction to Supernatural ending. Before Brown played Randall on the NBC drama, he starred as Gordon Walker on Supernatural. Here is Brown’s tweet:

The Supernatural family will live on well after Season 15 finishes airing. The show’s creator, Eric Kripke, was mentioned in the video announcing the show’s end. He has also taken to Twitter to share some thoughts on Season 15 being the show's last. Like those mentioned above, he also made mention of family. Here is Eric Kripke’s message:

Well said. There is still a lot to look forward to, Supernatural fans. When he made his return to Supernatural for the series’ 300th episode, Jeffrey Dean Morgan expressed his desire to return for the final season. Well, that opportunity will arise with the upcoming installment. Hopefully Morgan and John Winchester can make their way back.

In the meantime, new episodes of Supernatural Season 14 will continue airing Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
