Outlander’s Sam Heughan And Graham McTavish Are Awesome Road Trip Buddies For Men In Kilts Trailer

We've been hearing about the passion project of Outlander's Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish since early last summer, with fans being treated to several teases of what was to come in their new series, Men in Kilts. The former on-screen nephew and uncle (respectively) have traveled around Scotland to explore the country's history and traditions, and filmed all of their adventures for our viewing pleasure. Now, we have a new trailer which shows off even more of their joint shenanigans, and it appears that Heughan and McTavish made for some awesome road trip buddies.

It appears that Men in Kilts will see Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish try a lot of new things for the show, so that fans of Outlander can get an even fuller picture of the country which is so important to the series. Take a look at the trailer (above), so we can reconvene to discuss it, below.

You watched, right? All I can say is, oh, my! It truly looks like McTavish and Heughan had the time of their lives while filming Men in Kilts. We already knew from previous teases that the sense of humor would be strong with this one, but it seems like they were able to really dig in and enjoy pretty much every moment of filming the series.

And, I really think that was a great move on the part of McTavish and Heughan, who also co-created Men in Kilts and served as executive producers on it. Many of us have been holding on to hopes for future (safe) travel opportunities while being stuck inside for much of 2020, and while we may not have previously been considering Scotland for our next trip, I think that will change for a lot of us once we have the chance to lay our eyes on Men in Kilts in full. Don't they make gallivanting about in a small camper seem like the most fun?

Actually, there are several modes of transportation in Men in Kilts, including a few different types of boat, a van, solid amounts of walking, and even what appears to be a tandem bicycle. We also get a good look at a lot of sheep, some dancing, marching, bagpipe playing, a fair bit of eating, dancing, celebrating, some wonderful joking around, healthy doses of drinking and, of course, lots of men in kilts. It looks like the eight half-hour episodes will be sure to help Outlander fans deal with the, even longer than planned, Droughtlander yet to come.

While Outlander is slowly beginning production, we have no premiere date for Season 6 right now. Luckily, though, fans can count on Men in Kilts coming along much sooner, with the debut on Starz set for Sunday, February 14.
