Today Cryptic Studio released the Champions Companion. It's an iPhone/iPod Touch program that lets you stay connected to Champions Online even when you're on the go.

The app allows you to send and receive in-game mails. You can also check whether the players on your friends list are online and if so, what they're up to. The program also allows you to view full-sized portraits of your characters. Should be handy when you're trying to pick someone up at a bar.

The Companion weighs in at 5.9 MB. It's available free of charge through iTunes.
