Nexon isn’t content with staying still with Combat Arms. It may be the most popular free-to-play shooter on the net but Nexon constantly finds ways to move the franchise forward. The next step in the evolution of Combat Arms is moving from PC to the iOS and to do so, Nexon acquired an Unreal Engine 3 license in order to power the mobile version of the popular shooter.
Nexon Mobile’s CEO, Albert Rim commented in the press release, saying… “Using Epic Games’ cutting edge Unreal Engine technology, ‘Combat Arms: Zombies’ will set a new standard for graphics and quality gameplay on mobile devices,” … “‘Combat Arms: Zombies’ has been a major effort for us and it will help establish Nexon Mobile as a top developer of multi-platform games.”Combat Arms: Zombies is just a small piece of the pie from the original game. It’s a co-op based mode spawned from the FireTeam feature in the original Combat Arms. Basically, players will take on wave after wave of increasingly difficult zombies, just like in Left 4 Dead. Usually the game requires a lot of team work and ammo conservation in order to progress, and survive. It’s also a no-brainer that this mode happened to be one of the more popular modes in the game. Combat Arms: Zombies is scheduled to launch during the busiest time of the year for moving video games…that’s right, it’s launching in November. You can look for CA: Zombies on the App Store soon.
