For the longest, all we knew was that Dynasty Warriors: Strike Force for the PSP was being released in Japan by Koei. Well, today the company issued a press release confirming that the game is landing on North American retail shelves this April.

Due out on April 28th, Dynasty Warriors: Strike Force takes some initiative-firsts for the series. For instance, the new four-player cooperative mode has been implemented, “Fury” transformations for characters has been added, end-of-level bosses have become bigger, and air-battles are now a convenient way of taking the fight to the enemies.

Gamers who can’t wait for the release date to officially roll around, you can pre-order the game at Amazon, Game Crazy, GameFly, and GameStop.

Koei also announced that they would be supporting the game throughout this year with additional content. Get this, the additional content is going to be available to PSP owners completely free-of-charge. New quests and missions will be available exclusively through the PlayStation Store.
