The public has spoken and their favorite news of the show so far has been the Halo 3 single player trailer and the Killzone 2 in-game footage. However, this lowly reporter is still entitled to his own opinion and god damn it he intends to voice it. The best video of the show so far for him is the Halo Wars in-game footage. My goodness is that drool worthy.

Up until now the speculation surrounding Halo Wars is that it would be a mash-up of Halo within the frame work of Age of Empires. Seeing as how the game is developed by AoE creator Ensemble Studios, that’s not an entirely illogical assumption. Now that the video has hit the web I can tell you for sure, and with a big smile on my face I might add, that it doesn’t play or look anything at all like AoE. Not even in the Stubbs the Zombie was like Halo kind of way. It looks, and plays like Halo. Picture the original Halo. Now pull the camera up into the air a hundred feet or so. That’s it. It’s the exact same thing. All of the weapons function exactly the same…I’m rambling. Just take a look at the video and see what I mean for yourself.
