Electronic Arts has revealed that they've set up a new studio called "8lb Gorilla." It's a small outfit dedicated to creating games for the iPhone.

According to touchArcade, 8lb Gorilla is staffed by a bunch of twenty-somethings who plans to release a new $.99 game every month (give or take). There's been no official announcement by EA yet so it's not clear where the studio is based or exactly how large it is.

8lb's first project is Zombies & Me, an action/puzzle game. The zombie apocalypse has arrived and to survive, you must lead the hordes of ravenous zombies into the blast radius of missiles being launched by the military. No release date was mentioned but you can check out the trailer below.
