Fallen Earth Content Update Includes Global Territory Control
Reloaded Productions is hard at work on a new content overhaul that will enable gamers to join factions and then have those factions take over entire settlements. The game is continually advancing, enabling players to have more and more control over the wasteland.
Marie Croall, Lead Designer at Reloaded Productions commented in the press release, saying...
“Global Territory Control finally gives our faction what they've always wanted - control of the canyon! We've been listening to all the feedback from our players and are Proud to finally release GTC and change the face of the Wasteland - so join a faction and join the fight!”
There are six major factions in the game, as well as plenty of player-formed gangs, guilds and sub-factions. By joining a faction players receive special missions and tasks as they evolve their reputation and eventually become a force to be reckoned with in the wasteland.
What's more is that the new territory, the Foothills, enables players level 50+ to battle over the area, granting the winning faction control of the resource-rich settlement. In addition to gaining exclusive access to resources by controlling the Foothills, there is also a general buff for all members of that faction that increases power, precision, crafting speeds and knocks off penalties from the death toll.
PVP control-zones are always a good way to extend the life of an MMORPG. So it's good to know that the game is receiving this kind of update because it definitely helps bring that dystopian, Mad Max-style desperation and survivalist idiosyncrasy to the game.
The 2.4 update will include a number of other fixes for the free-to-play title, including improvements to combat trainers, faster mounting, bulk purchases, new junk-tech starter weapons, and more.
