Capcom has really outdone themselves with Monster Hunter 3. The amazing new gameplay footage showcases an assortment of customizable player options and larger-than-life monster battles. What’s more is that this game has the potential look of an Xbox 360 or PS3 title yet it’s actually for the under-utlized Wii.

Yes, that’s right…the Wii is actually getting a game that looks like it could be a good alternative to Capcom’s own Lost Planet 2. Monster Hunter 3 features superb graphics, amazing looking enemies and some of the smoothest looking animated characters featured on a Nintendo game console. So why the heck have these aesthetics been foregone for so long on Nintendo’s Wii? You’ll probably have to ask a few other publishers that question.

Anyway, Monster Hunter 3 offers gamers mammoth amounts of possible fun (no pun intended). The gigantic enemy encounters, the outdoor adventuring and the weapon and character customization makes for a grand concept that I truly hope finds its way to North American retailers.
