Somehow, someway, one of you out there hasn't played Portal yet. Well guess what, Valve's making it easy for you. The game is on sale for half price for Labor Day weekend. Now you'll be able to make "the cake is a lie" comments on articles like all the other cool kids!
Until September 1st, the dark comedy platform shooter is available on the digital distribution service Steam for $9.99. I assume that price should be palatable to those of you who bitch about paying money for short games, even when they're goddamn brilliant. Look at it this way: it's now five bucks cheaper than Braid, the other amazing puzzle game whose short length everyone complains about.
Valve seems to have a sale every weekend - the previous discount was for the underselling gem Beyond Good and Evil - so it's worth idly checking their website on Fridays. And seriously, pick up Portal. If nothing else, it'll help you understand all the weird quotes people have been tossing around for the last nine months or so.
