Rogue Warrior Gets Some Help From Mickey Rourke

published: 2009-04-27 10:57:51
Bethesda has recently announced that they have acquired the services of Mickey Rourke (i.e, Nine-and-a-half weeks, Sin City, Domino, The Wrestler) to lend his voice to their upcoming first-person shooter, Rogue Warrior. Hopefully it’s the sobered-up Rourke, otherwise gamers could be in for some slurry dialogue.

“Mickey Rourke was our first choice to play Marcinko in Rogue Warrior,” said Todd Vaughn, Executive Producer of Rogue Warrior. “He absolutely, one-hundred percent captures Marcinko’s raw and gritty personality.”

I just hope Marcinko was good at holding his liquor, otherwise gamers might get the wooziest acting black ops agent featured in a game.

All joking aside, Rogue Warrior will supposedly contain intense combat, multiple forms of dispatching enemies using stealth and brute force and it will also come complete with a full-on multiplayer feature. There was a fact sheet released for the game, however it didn’t really lay down much of any information. The screenshots Bethesda released actually tell a bit more about the game and that’s why we have them ripe and ready for viewing below.

Rogue Warrior is due out in the late fourth-quarter of 2009 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. For more information you can visit the Official Bethesda Website. And as always, be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games for further news and updates regarding all things gaming.
