In the coming weeks, Blizzard plans to release Patch 4.2. Today they released a trailer entitled "Rage of the Firelands" that sets up the story for the new content.

The patch will add a new raid called Firelands. It's designed to be the next challenge for players who have finished the "Tier 11" content included with World of WarCraft: Cataclysm at launch. The final boss of this instance is Ragnaros the Firelord, who was also the last baddy to fight in the old raid Molten Core from years back.

Patch 4.2 also adds two new daily quest zones, a legendary caster staff, and a Dungeon Journal feature. It marks the start of Arena Season 10 as well. For the full list of announced changes in the patch, head over to Wowpedia.

The current rumor is that Patch 4.2 will arrive on either June 21st or June 28th. Blizzard has yet to confirm a date, however.
