There are few greater TV joys in the summertime than watching someone crush the American Ninja Warrior course. As part of the new season, Supergirl and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stuntwoman Jessie Graff donned a Wonder Woman costume and became the first person to tackle American Ninja Warrior’s brand new 14 ½ Warped Wall. Anyone who does stuntwork for Adrianne Palicki and others should be one tough cookie, and Jessie Graff really proved her mettle in this American Ninja Warrior video. The series only recently returned for Season 8 and is currently in the qualifying rounds. Jessie Graff competed in Los Angeles, finishing out her latest run on the series at right around the 4:26 mark. Just finishing, even in the qualifying rounds, is really impressive, but tackling the new Warped Wall took this performance to a whole new level. Obviously, a lot of the people who have been given a shot on American Ninja Warrior at least have some level of expertise while attempting the obstacles, but Graff also did the run with her abs hanging out. She’s basically a real-life Wonder Woman.
Graff, who hails from Maryland, had her college roommate there to cheer her on. The competitor had a couple of moments during the obstacles where we weren't certain whether or not she would make it, but despite the scares when scurrying up and across obstacles, she landed on her feet, making it to the Warped Wall, where she broke a new record. Along with Graff, female contestant Natalie Duran also made the top 30 during the qualifying round and will be moving forward in the competition during Season 8.
Hosts Matt Iseman, Akbar Gbajabiamila, and co-host Kristine Leahy are all on board for Season 8. This year, participants will compete in finals courses in various regions across the country. They will then move to the national finals in Las Vegas, where the obstacles--and the competition--get progressively harder. Only time will tell if Jessie Graff will be able to continue to dominate, but we hope we get to watch her and her Wonder Woman costume for some time to come in the competition.
