Does your League of Legends crew have what it takes to compete against some of the best teams in the world? Well, now it's time to put your money where your mouth is, as Major League Gaming has officially announced online qualifiers for the first-ever League of Legends Arena. This summer event is about to heat up and, with the registration deadline looming, you might want to act quickly if you plan to compete.
Registration for the qualifiers has opened in North America and Europe. Signing up will set you back $50 per team, but you'll also be competing for a $10,000 grand prize, so just think of that entry fee as a solid investment. Unless your LoL skills aren't up to snuff. Then you can consider that $50 soundly wasted.
Qualifiers kick off this coming Tuesday, July 10, and both the U.S. and Europe will feature a 32-team, single elimination bracket with all showdowns being best-of-three. If you're lucky enough to win your regional competitions, your team will be flown out to New York City to compete for that $10,000 price at the Summer Arena.
The first five rounds of competition will be held July 10, 12, 16, 18 and 20 with the Summer Arena in New York set for August 3-5. All qualifying matches will be held at 8 p.m. ET here in the states and the results can be followed on the Major League Gaming website.
If you think your team has what it takes, head on over to the MLG site for links to register in both the U.S. and Europe.
