Shortly after informing readers about the new online, action-based, arcade-style, RTS hybrid called AirMech from Carbon Games Studio, we were offered a handful of beta keys ahead of the game's launch to give out to you, our trusty readers. So with that said, we have 10 beta keys to hand out to you guys and we're going to do things the way we've always done them: Ninja-looting style.
For those of you unfamiliar with the way we give things away here at Gaming Blend, it all boils down to smarts, tactics, skills, twitch-abilities and most importantly...luck.
Now before we get ahead of ourselves, let's talk a little bit about AirMech. Basically, it's just like the name: you pilot a flying mech that can go around unleashing bullet-hell to enemy NPCs and players alike. You can also transform and use standard W,A,S,D, controls to blast the living daylights out of enemy NPCs and players alike as a ground-based, customizable mech.
If the game is sounding awfully generic to you, it's because the coolest part hasn't been discussed yet. The game sports DOTA-type battles with 3-on-3 matches allowing for players to engage each other on a number of nifty and colorful maps. Like any standard RTS, you'll need to acquire resources, build up your bases, amass an army and infiltrate and take over your opponent's base. Sounds easy right? Well, it's not. The game is a fast-paced action-romp with skill-based arcade shooting at its core and lots of tactical RTS teamplay surrounding all the laser fire, base building and mecha-destruction.
Now that we have the game's description done and out of the way, it's time to focus on how you can obtain a beta key. The game is due out this September and the beta keys enable gamers early access to the Steam version of the game. So here are the rules:
1.) Head to Gaming Blend's Facebook Page and keep an eye on out for posts about AirMech or beta keys.
2.) When you spot a beta key post use your ninja-looting ability to copy and paste the key into the Steam game activation section. You'll need an active Steam account and it would probably be wise to keep Steam open so you can copy and paste like a lightning fast ninja-looting mofo.
3.) After activating the code on Steam, download and install the game. There's no reason why you would need any further instructions from this page. You can skedaddle now. There's nothing else left to see here...except....
