Have you ever wanted to rescue a bunch of desperate and helpless Europeans from certain and immediate danger? Well, of course you have. Who wouldn't? Quadriga Games' Emergency 2013 brings rescue-strategy fans a new entry in the series that requires gamers to strategically and systematically rescue people from tons of natural disasters.

The game is basically like a collection of all those Roland Emmerich disaster movies rolled into one, except without any Hollywood blockbuster heroes there to save the day. Instead, players will take on the role of the “hero”, using rescue vehicles and tactics to help civilians get out perilous situations and tough predicaments.

The screenshots are pretty standard fare, showing off cracks in the earth, tourist traps turning into disaster spots and forests standing in the way of being a fire victim.

I didn't know this sort of game existed until now, but maybe with the right promotion it can become the next Farming Simulator 2013, which is just curb stomping through the competition on the sales charts.

You can check out the new screenshots for Emergency 2013 below or pay a visit to the Official Website to learn more about the game, which is set for release at the end of this week for $29.99.
