Have you heard of FPS Creator? No? Neither have I. That's why it's so important to spread the word about the not-so-new Kickstarter FPS Creator Reloaded. It's the sequel to an easy-to-use game creation utility called FPS Creator. It enables users to easily build and share FPS games with a few simple mouse clicks.
The utility is similar to things like Klick 'N Play or Arcade County, where you can quickly and easily build the FPS games you want to play and experience, as well as games you'd like to play and experience with friends. Check out the video below to get a quick summary of what The Game Creators have in store.
I really wish I had known about this project before. It completely flew under the radar.
The highlight is that the toolset enables users to produce some really high quality looking shooting experiences. I was pleasantly surprised at the lighting and shader details used in FPS Creator Reloaded and the actual shooting mechanics look superb. The gun handling, mechanics, reloading, iron sights and animations all look really, really good.
I'd hate to see such a creative project fall by the wayside, but alas they need $60,000 and they're currently sitting at $16,340 as of the writing of this article with only 12 days to go.
It's such a shame that we didn't get around to this one sooner, as it easily deserves a lot more promotion than what it's received.
Still, if you're the kind of gamer who loves shooter games, wants to toss together some complex levels in a relatively easy-to-create fashion and share those experiences with friends, be sure to support FPS Creator Reloaded right now. For more information be sure to pay a visit to the Official Kickstarter Page.
