Fuzzy Slaughter Brings Co-op, Beat-E'm-Up Action To Kickstarter

Triptych Games has just wrapped up working on some DLC for Borderlands 2 and has decided to take their talents to the Kickstarter space for a beat-e'm-up, four-player cooperative title called Fuzzy Slaughter, where violent animals wage war against PITA who only wants the cutest animals for cold cut sandwiches.
The game is in the early stages of development and Triptych is looking for a modest $50,000 in crowd-sourced funding, which isn't too bad. Hopefully they can fix up the animations a bit more on the game and give it a little more polish, because I think they actually have something with Fuzzy Slaughter. Check it out below.
The real question is: Will gamers feel compelled to hop on board and support this idea?
Beat-e'm-ups are a rarity these days, with the last decent one being Kung-Fu Strike from Qooc Software. I suppose we really won't be able to tell how well this whole idea will play out until we get to see Triptych's combo system in play as well as more of the multiplayer in action.
If you'd like to read up more on the game and see a few more screenshots and concept art, feel free to visit the official Fuzzy Slaughter page for more information. Also, you can bet your bottom dollar that if this game gets Kickstarted PETA will have a thing or two to say about the game at some point.
