At the end of May, 38 Studios officially closed its doors. The company's failure has doomed their medieval fantasy MMO, codenamed Project Copernicus. A trailer leaked by one of the employees is likely the only gameplay footage we'll ever see.

Copernicus is set in the same game world as the single-player RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Reckoning was released earlier this year to decent reviews. However, the sales weren't strong enough to keep 38 Studios afloat.

This is the second video leaked of the game. The first was a fly-through of the various environments. This latest trailer actually shows characters swinging swords and slinging spells, though.

The money shot is at 1:28. A group of adventurers prepare to fight a demon that's hundreds of feet tall. That seems like it would've been fun but, well, not gonna happen.
