A new gameplay trailer was released for the upcoming platform puzzle title by Black Chair Games for iOS and Macs called LAD. There isn't a whole lot of info on the game but the trailer looks somewhat interesting if not a bit too pretentious.

One of the things that PlayDead Entertainment's Limbo such a standout game was that it was unlike any other platform game out there. The use of the black and white color scale for an atmospheric noir aesthetic really helped set Limbo apart from the competition. What's more is that the game was light on storytelling but had an interesting story to tell nonetheless.

LAD, alternatively, leaves a bit to be desired because the trailer doesn't have a story to tell and the gameplay doesn't separate itself much from Limbo. Still, if you're into the moody, do-or-die gameplay that made the latter such a fan-favorite you might enjoy LAD.

Given that the game is still a work-in-progress, I'm sure there will be more to it than pushing boxes off ledges and jumping over moving razor blades. The game's official poster also hints that there may be some sort of opposite antagonist to face off against, or perhaps a cooperative mode? Not really sure but the light vs dark face-off on the opposite sides of the word LAD definitely hint at something.
