If you were hoping for a full client release of Moonlight Online, you're out of luck. Still, if you don't have a very high-end PC and you want to play the game the upside is that you'll be able to do so from the comfort of Facebook, this summer.
Moonlight Online is a werewolf versus vampire versus slayer MMORPG. It involves a heavy dosage of PvP and social interaction. One of the highlights of the game is the parkour. Yes...parkour. Much like Assassin's Creed or Batman: Arkham City, gamers can run, hop, slide, jump, dodge and strafe along building surfaces, ledges, rooftops and railings. It adds a nifty aspect freedom to the exploration and combat.
In addition to realtime combat and environment-based free-running, the game also has siege battles and guild wars. Towns, cities and villages will be up for grabs and the game will make use of siege weapons to help either side take advantage in combat.
If the game seems kind of cool but you're still not sure about it, IGG has promised that there is still a wealth of traditional MMORPG features as well, including friend lists, gestures, casual activities and more.
I haven't seen enough of the game to truly tell if it's going to be awesome or just another MMO clone. I definitely love the concept but if it's not executed properly I can easily see this falling by the wayside. Still, until Dark Eden 3D comes to North America you won't have another werewolf versus vampire versus slayer game for a while, and Moonlight Online is free-to-play so that's still a bonus.
