Project Blackout Takes Cues From CoD: Elite, Adds Competitive Ranking

Everyone wants to know where they fit within the world of deathmatches, frags and headshots. I mean, what’s the point of sniping some guy 100 meters out if there’s no scorecard on how often you snipe from that distance? Pointless, right? Well, SG Interactive wants to reward faithful, hardcore shooter fans of their F2P online FPS, Project Blackout, with a new, free, browser-based ranking system that will see continuous updates in the coming months.

Like the game itself, the competitive online ranking system will be free-to-use, much like the one for Battlefield, Operation 7, A.V.A, Combat Arms and just about every other shooter out there with a detailed ranking system.

In addition to announcing that a new web ranking system is in effect, SG Interactive also announced a new cash shop dinosaur called Acid, for the dino vs. modes, as well as a brand new map to play on for those of you who have grown tired of the maps already available on the game.

You can check out a few new screenshots of the new map and the new playable dinosaur below. The web ranking system will go into effect beginning October 5th, next week. You can sign-up and start playing the game right now by heading on over to the Official Website.
