Station.com, the home to many PC MMORPG's including EverQuest II and DC Universe Online, has been down since this morning. Sony Online Entertainment says they've taken down the website temporarily to fix an unnamed issue.

"In the course of our investigation into the intrusion into our systems we have discovered an issue that warrants enough concern for us to take the service down effective immediately. We will provide an update later today (Monday)," reads a notice on Station.com. "We apologize for any inconvenience and greatly appreciate your patience."

The word "intrusion" obviously gives pause in light of recent events. PSN has been down since April 20th due to hackers infilitrating the network and nabbing personal information of its users. There was no mention of an instrusion into station.com previously; are they referring to the hacking of PSN or did SOE experience their own breach?

In addition to being a home to SOE's MMOs, Station.com also hosts a number of free and browser-based games. If you're looking to play Bejeweled 2 today, you'll have to find sustenance elsewhere.
