Toxic Bunny HD Joins Steam Greenlight

It's amazing that we don't get more “animals with attitude” games. They were the titles that helped shape genres back during the 1990s, from Bubsy to Gex and all those other furry miscreants in between, they were the mascots of the 16-bit and 32-bit era. Well, Celestial Games is aiming to bring back the attitude era with their hyper-caffeinated character, Toxic Bunny.
The game plays out almost identical to Epic Games' Jazz Jackrabbit titles but it carries a much darker tinge of grit and malevolence. The backgrounds and art designs seem reminiscent of Booger Man and the gameplay is both fast and challenging. Check it out below.
The game looks all right but it could use a little more polish on the animation front for the main character. Potentially something a little smoother maybe?
Still, the art-style and platform game mechanics look pretty tight and we could use more action-oriented, colorful platformers. We have plenty of puzzle-platform titles, so a little change in sub-genre might not hurt anyone.
If this pseudo-Jazz Jackrabbit clone looks like it suits your taste, feel free to give the game an upvote and favorite over on the official Greenlight page.
