If you've been itching for a game like Mirror's Edge but wanted something meatier than the auto-parkour of Assassin's Creed, you just might find yourself enthralled with Nekki's Vector, an urban parkour platforming game that mixes a little bit of The Matrix with Mirror's Edge.
The animations are designed to fluidly and responsively reflect real-life parkour or free-running moves and maneuvers. Everything happens with effortless transitions, giving gamers a true feeling of progressive, momentum based platforming. Check it out in the trailer below.
I wish we had more games like this. The animations are absolutely top notch and probably the best I've seen in a game alongside Max Payne 3.
The ability to transition from one move to the next with seamless fluidity is really the game's strong point, giving gamers an immersive feeling of becoming a real parkour artist. Some of the stunts and the level designs remind me a lot of David Belle's District B13 movies.
