Velocity Ultra Warps Onto Vita This May

Hailed as one of the best PlayStation Minis available for the original PlayStation Portable, hit scrolling shooter game, Velocity, has received a massive upgrade and is now only a little of a month away from teleporting onto the PlayStation Vita. Get ready for Velocity Ultra.

We recently announced that the guys at FuturLab were working on an upgrade to their highly successful PSP Mini title, Velocity. Well, now the studio has even more awesomeness to show off concerning the game, including the above trailer highlighting many of the new features. Along with brand new art and shiny new HD graphics, the game takes advantage of features like the

At the end of the trailer you'll also see a release date of May 15, meaning we don't have very long to wait to finally enjoy the high-flying antics of Velocity Ultra.

“Many people thought Velocity was a bargain on Minis because of the sheer amount of content we managed to squeeze into it, and now Sony has made it official by classifying the game as 'Large' when allocating trophies for the new release, which means Velocity Ultra has lot of trophies, including a Platinum,” said FuturLab Managing Director, James Marsden, on the PlayStation Blog.

Marsden goes on to discuss the game's friends and online leaderboards, as well as an “Elite Lounge,” a special club for the game's top players.
