Weekly Recap: GameStop's Used DLC And 5 Other Interesting Stories

A pretty huge shift happened this week with Steam, as Valve opened up a curator's option through their new “Discovery” channel. Now, Steam users get to see games that fit their tastes, as well as customize what appears on the front page and when. It's all very intuitive and is part of Valve's attempt to put control back into the hands of users.

In addition to this, GTA V is rumored to have a first-person mode. There are some new videos and demo footage of Final Fantasy XV. Square Enix and United Front Games not only unveiled new footage and screenshots for the Definitive Edition of Sleeping Dogs as well as Triad Wars, the upcoming free-to-play PC title based around the Sleeping Dogs mythos. The developers have revealed that Lords of the Fallen won't be sharing parity on the Xbox One and PS4. Triad Wars Unveiled

Beta sign-ups have begun for Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars. Big changes are inbound for Watch Dogs. How big? Well, big enough to apparently fix the game from its broken launch. Steam has launched an all new way to discovery and buy games, with a complete overhaul to the storefront. After spending what seemed like eternity in the development pool, Blizzard has announced that Titan is finally cancelled... it's over with... it's not coming. One player has gone over and beyond to finally hit the sacred level cap of 30 in Destiny. It was a hard feat, but he managed it.

Steam Curators Get Trolled

If you thought that adding a curated list to Steam's new Discovery setup was going to be cakes and cherries, think again. The Curators are already getting trolled. Dark Souls II's latest bit of DLC is actually getting hit with a minor delay... by one week. Lionhead Studios released video footage of a new game you won't be playing called Ink Quest; it's one of those artsy games that is reminiscent to titles like Child of Light... but with less focus. The Xbox One has received a brand new app from Comedy Central. World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor has some detailed system requirements made available, so you can find out if your PC can handle the latest expansion. Riot Games is doing their bit to remove trolls from League of Legends by restricting them from playing in the ranked matches. And Gauntlet, the remake of the classic arcade game, has launched for PC.

GameStop Selling Used DLC?

In a strange twist of news, GameStop plans to sell used DLC. I have no idea how exactly that's going to work, but wouldn't that be interesting to see? A popular loot exploit in Destiny has been squashed by the good folks at Bungie, putting everyone back on a level playing field. Watch Dogs for the Wii U won't be featuring any of the game's DLC. Some really neat games are coming to the PlayStation platforms soon. Here are a couple of games you get for free for being signed up for Xbox Live's Gold program. GameStop is hosting a Super Smash Bros tournament, and Titanfall has received some brand new DLC..

Hyrule Warriors Blasts Onto Wii U

Nintendo rolled out Hyrule Warriors for the Wii U, making it known to everyone that the new title for their home console is currently available. Bungie is hoping to fix another issue with Destiny following the loot exploit. The Evil Within has gone gold and the system requirements have been unveiled. Blizzard is adding a brand new feature to World of Warcraft, enabling gamers to undelete their characters. The Xbox One has absolutely bombed in Japan following its release in the land of the rising sun... and by bombed, I mean bombed.
