Listen up, tread-heads, because I'm only gonna say this once: World of Tanks is set to deploy update 8.4, bringing all new tanks and tank destroyers to the open battlefields of Wargaming's massively multiplayer online battle game. *chomps down on cigar* Get to downloading, soldiers. Dismissed!
World of Tanks is set to expand its family of armored death-dealers in update 8.4 with Wargaming today announcing the first handful of details concerning this latest batch of rolling fortresses. The new additions will include tank destroyers from the British and Soviet nations, as well as some new light tanks to be added to the German tech tree. Basically, more boom for your arsenal.
And we're not just talking about a couple of new additions, either. For starters, update 8.4 will include 10 British tank hunters. The Soviets will get the SU-100Y tank destroyer added to their roster while the German's will see an additional three light tanks added to their tank tree.
According to Producer Mike Zhivets, this latest update to World of Tanks will mark the second “British invasion” into the game.
“This new line of ironclads will really showcase the ultimate evolution of the British tank destroyer design, from highly maneuverable gun carriers to mammoth land cruisers,” Zhivets said.
Along with these new tanks, 8.4 will be giving the Steppes, Fisherman's Bay, Ensk and Live Oaks maps a visual overhaul, as well as adding in a brand new tutorial for those new to the game.
