Why Kourtney Kardashian Just Spoke With Congress
Move over, Mr. Smith. Kourtney Kardashian went to Washington yesterday. But unlike several other celebrities of late, she's not looking to get into politics. Instead, the reality TV star reportedly met with several members of Congress in order to discuss cosmetics with our nation's political leaders. More specifically, Kourtney is hoping to reform the laws that regulate cosmetics, along with other care products, in the United States.
TMZ uncovered Kourtney Kardashian's recent visit to our nation's capital. She reportedly teamed up with the Environmental Working Group for the trip, and she didn't keep her travel plans a secret with her fans. She posted a video or two of her plane landing in Washington D.C., announcing her arrival. Additionally, viewers of Keeping Up with the Kardashians will follow her pursuits in the upcoming season of the reality TV series, as she met with the camera crew shortly after she landed. They were on board to capture footage of the meetings, so we'll catch a glimpse of Kourtney's recent meetings.
So far, Kourtney Kardashian is the only Kardashian in Washington D.C., and she arrived there on Monday. It's unclear if her other siblings will be showing up there at all to help out, though it seems unlikely. Khloe Kardashian recently gave birth to her first child, a baby girl named True Thompson, in Cleveland, OH only a couple weeks earlier. Kourtney Kardashian was also there to support her sister during her first pregnancy, and Khloe wrote a tribute to Kourtney and her sisters in a recent post on her app, where she called them the "ultimate mom mentors," along with their mom, Kris. Kim Kardashian West, meanwhile, is also busy with her upcoming fragrance, KKW Body, which comes at the end of the month. To announce its arrival, she shed her clothes and posted some NSFW photos on her social media feeds.
The celebrity sisters remain so busy, in fact, that they recently shut down their chain boutique Dash. Kourtney Kardashian owned the company with Kim Kardashian West and Khloe Kardashian, and they sold their products inside the store. Ultimately, they decided to spend their time focusing on their own individual brands and motherhood. Kourtney is the mother of three children, 8-year-old Mason, 5-year-old Penelope and three-year-old Reign.
Kourtney Kardashian remains passionate about environmentally safe products, and her recent trip to Washington D.C. is only her latest effort. She also recently teamed up with Kylie for a cosmetics collaboration. Hopefully, Kourtney K will persuade these politicians to help her work towards producing and providing better and safer skin care products for consumers across the country. Should anything eventful happen in Washington D.C. with the Kardashians during Kourtney's most recent trip, and that's bound to happen one way or the other, we'll keep you posted right here at CinemaBlend.
