It has happened! Star Wars creator George Lucas has met The Mandalorian’s Baby Yoda, and there is an adorable picture of the pair to prove it! As you can imagine, some perks come with being the one to create the universe of original Yoda, and one of them is getting to hold the definition of cuteness in your arms.

Fresh off of shutting down that lingering Baby Yoda theory/perception, The Mandalorian’s creator, Jon Favreau, shared an epic picture on Instagram. In it, you can see George Lucas cradling Baby Yoda without any nerves. Please note that the main Baby Yoda prop cost $5 million. If that version and the one pictured are one and the same, the price does not appear to be weighing on Lucas's mind. Check it out:

This picture is everything! George Lucas and Baby Yoda together! At least someone has gotten to hold Baby Yoda. Not everyone got that chance in time for the holidays. Fast forward to 2020, and Jon Favreau is gifting the internet with the sight of Lucas holding the fan-favorite among viewers and The Mandalorian’s Giancarlo Esposito.

I do not know about you, but George Lucas seems to be blown away by Baby Yoda and hyper focused on the beloved character. Jon Favreau did not reveal if Lucas joined Disney’s CEO in comparing The Mandalorian’s meme-sensation to Leonardo DiCaprio or not. In fact, Favreau did not caption the photo at all.

Minus a caption, the image is still destined to keep the internet abuzz! As of writing this story, the picture already has over a half-million likes on Instagram, which is not personally surprising. Everything about Baby Yoda tends to get everyone talking, including his problems. All of the chatter will somehow have to help fans of The Mandalorian cope as they wait for Season 2.

Thankfully, Baby Yoda has yet to fade from the pop culture scene in the interim. Ever since making his debut on the series, The Mandalorian breakout has been everywhere, and that is not an exaggeration. For his part, George Lucas looks contemplative with Baby Yoda. I wonder if Lucas is going to get an early version of the toy merchandise.

Disney boss Bob Iger had previously opened up about George Lucas visiting The Mandalorian's set. The above photo captures a huge moment: Lucas getting to meet Baby Yoda! It appears the meeting went well.

You can currently see Baby Yoda in Season 1 of The Mandalorian, which is streaming on Disney+. Plus, CinemaBlend’s Gina Carbone has numerous other Disney+ suggestions for your post-Mandalorian viewing pleasure. Season 2 is set to arrive in fall 2020, which means well after this winter’s premieres! Stay tuned to CinemaBlend for the latest in TV and movie news.
