Warning: MAJOR SPOILERS ahead for the Season 1 finale of The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart, which will air after Peter Weber's 2020 season of The Bachelor and before Clare Crawley's time as The Bachelorette for Season 16. Don't read unless you want all the details!
If you haven't already heard, Bachelor Nation is about to get a little bit bigger with a new show being added to the franchise that brought us The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Bachelor In Paradise coming straight to our love-starved eyeballs this April. The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart will follow a group of hotter than hot singles who are all involved in the music industry as they try to find love and then pair up to perform. They'll then be judged by Bachelor Nation luminaries and musical powerhouses to see who's love is really shining through in the songs performed, and spoilers are telling us we already know how the season finale will go down.
The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart (which I'm assuming is titled that way because the hit 1989 song of the same name by pop group Roxette is performed on the show) will follow 23 musical singles as they search for love and try to find "a lasting partnership and the perfect duet." Bachelor Nation spoiler guru Reality Steve has details on how the season ends, so buckle up and get ready for a tuneful ride!
When And Where Was The Listen To Your Heart Finale Filmed?
The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart finale was filmed just a couple of weeks ago, on February 12. The two remaining couples performed at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee. Good thing they wrapped this enterprise up before Valentine's Day so that the new couples could enjoy the holiday, right?
Who's Performing In The Listen To Your Heart Finale?
Of our 23 sexy singles, the finale will see 29-year-old Trevor Holmes sing with 21-year-old Jamie Gabrielle, and 30-year-old Chris Watson pair up with 28-year-old Bri Stauss to try to come out on top. By the time of the finale taping, both are real romantic couples, with Chris and Bri saying "I love you" on camera before their finale performance, becoming the first Listen to Your Heart duo to do so.
Who Will Be Judging The Listen To Your Heart Finale?
This is pretty cool news, because according to spoilers, we'll get to watch Bachelor Nation power couple Kaitllyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick sit on the panel, along with, get this, folk/pop multi-Grammy Award nominee Jewel, star of television, stage and screen Taye Diggs, and actor/singer Rita Wilson. That's a pretty good group on board to decide which couple is really letting their love pour out via song, correct?
What Songs Will The Listen To Your Heart Finalists Sing?
Trevor and Jamie will, apparently, put their creativity to the test and start off with an original song that they lovingly wrote together, and will then wrap their performance with Dan + Shay's country hit "Speechless." Chris and Bri are going to stick to previously recorded material, and will perform Ed Sheeran's "Give Me Love," ending their set with Adele's version of "To Make You Feel My Love." Those are certainly some solid choices that could help reveal their true feeling for one another.
Where's The Drama On The Listen To Your Heart Finale?
It sounds like the only tense moments during the Listen To Your Heart finale won't be due to seeing who wins. At one point during the finale, Kaitlyn will ask Trevor and Jamie if they're in love. Trevor will answer by saying that they are, indeed, falling for each other, and that they plan to continue their relationship outside of the show. There are two difficulties with this. First, while they are both country singers, Jamie lives in Nashville while Trevor calls Encino, California home. An even bigger problem than a potential long distance relationship, though, will likely be the fact that Trevor already has an online reputation as, how do I say this mildly...Oh, never mind. People are calling Trevor a "fuckboy," so that is sure to become an issue, if true.
I Need To Know Who Wins The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart, Already!
Alright, calm down! After the judging panel deliberates the finale performances, they decide that Chris and Bri are the winners of the Season 1 of The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart! You are probably wondering what the big deal will be for those who find love on the show and convince a group of judges of that by singing together. Well, Chris and Bri will be awarded the opportunity to write and record some original music, as well as film a music video. The duo also gets to go on tour after the finale airs.
Well, there you have it! We'll have to wait until The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart debuts to see if it turns out to be another winner for the franchise, and to see if things turn out as we now expect them to. The new series will hit ABC on Monday, April 13 at 8 p.m. EST for two hours of romantic singing and love-professing.
