Kylie Jenner made headlines last year as the youngest self-made billionaire ever, and now there are reports that may not actually be the case. Jenner is reportedly furious with her mother Kris following a report from Forbes, which has alleged the cosmetics mogul and reality star's wealth was over-inflated and overstated.
Now, after a weekend to let the drama sink in, it has been reported that Kylie Jenner is not on good terms with her mother Kris Jenner. Kris is Kylie's manager, and, per the rumors circulating, is sweating things out at the moment and fearing the worst about her daughter's response to the recent headlines.
The report from Forbes has caused some family drama, or at least, that's what the tabloid was told. Per an unnamed source that spoke to The Sun, this is what things are like between Kylie and her mother at the moment:
The exact reasoning behind why Kylie Jenner would fire her mother is not stated. The assumption, though, would be that Kris may have fudged the numbers that led Forbes to believe her daughter was a billionaire, and maybe even convinced Kylie herself that she was a billionaire as well. It's not like this is a situation where Jenner's wealth was drastically overvalued, however, so I can't imagine that the younger Jenner's anger is rooted in thinking she'll soon need to sell some assets to stay afloat.
For those out of the loop, Forbes has re-evaluated Kylie Jenner's billionaire status, and reported that some, presumably, forged tax documents, along with other things, had led the publication to believe that Jenner was a billionaire. In reality the publication now reports that her worth is closer to around $900 million, and alleged that the family told lies in regards to Jenner's wealth. As those reports hit the internet, Jenner went on the defense on her Twitter:
Jenner obviously read up on the Forbes piece, and seemed to be live tweeting while running through the story. The cosmetic queen began highlighting specific parts of the argument, and putting her questions to Forbes out onto Twitter.
In addition to the tax documents, Forbes has said that the Jenners went to odd lengths to prove their wealth. This included tours of their mansions as well as the offices of their CPA, which is apparently not the protocol other billionaires have gone through when dealing with the publication.
Again though, details about the mother and daughter being on the outs is all rumored information, and rumors can get extra dicey when regarding members of the Kardashian family. They have a noted history of controversy in regards to such things, and the fact that they have their own reality show always leaves the possibility that "drama" is intentionally being leaked to the tabloids to promote future episodes. Kylie may be legitimately mad at her mother, but is fudging the numbers to be put on a billionaires list really grounds for a massive family fallout? I guess we'll have to watch the coming episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and see!
