Sega has announced a new Sonic game is coming to mobile devices this year. Sonic Dash will be released through the App Store soon.

Dash is an "endless runner." Players control Sonic and try to avoid obstacles while racing through various 3D stages. Leaderboards will track their performances.

The game's being developed by Hardlight Studios. Hardlight is a UK-based studio founded in January 2012 by Sega. Their first game was an iOS/Android remake of Sonic Jump.

Sega promises they'll announce additional details about Dash soon. In the meantime, they've released the teaser image for the game.
