Team Fortress 2 Screenshot: Soldiers Love Grenades For FPS fans there is no greater experience than Valve’s Half-Life games; both the originals and mods like Counterstrike and Team Fortress. Unless you’ve been eaten by Antlions you should be aware that a huge amalgamation of Valve goodness is on its way this fall in the form of an Orange Box. Episodic content, multiplayer games, and an all around sexy package make up Valve’s upcoming release.

To whet your appetite we have a look at a soldier from Team Fortress 2 below. Stay tuned for a new video short from Valve to make its way to your eyes during next week’s Leipzig Games Convention. You won’t be disappointed. Well, unless you think beating on foes with a crowbar and lobbing grenades at your friends is not worth your time. If that were the case, I’d take a hard look at my priorities if I were you.

Don’t be fooled by the cartoonish look of Team Fortress 2, this is going to be one of the premiere arena shooters of 2007. The game uses the same engine as Half-Life 2 in order to provide a true online team shooter that focuses heavily on teamwork. That means you’ll have to make nice with at least two are three people online if you plan to survive long enough to lob your beloved grenade.

Speaking of explosive ordinance, take a look at the image of a grenade happy soldier from the game below. Stay tuned for more info and the gameplay trailer next week from Leipzig.
